Publication conference "Landscape, archaeology and tourism"
We have the pleasure to inform you that the proceedings of the 3rd symposium organised by ArchaeoTourism on landscape, archaeology and tourism is here!
This manifestation, organised in Fribourg in 2016, brought together eleven researchers who presented diverse aspects of management and communication for heritage sites where archeology, tourism and landscape are important features. The second day have been dedicated to workshops and participants experienced a trail linking the site of Gletterens with Vallon.
The book Entre archéologie et tourisme. Paysages. – Landschaften. Zwischen Archaologie und Tourismus. is bilingual. The first part is theoretic: it proposes a set of reflexions on archaeological landscapes, their definitions and their roles for the enhancement of archaeology. The second part is dedicated to the presentation of archaeological sites and archaeo-touristic projects where landscape is a central feature. The third part delivers the results of the discussions held during the participative workshops in Gletterens, Vallon and Avenches.
